OpenAI's ChatGPT product team is looking to advance how humans learn with AI and make high-quality learning accessible by delivering measurable gains in cognition and achievement, partnering closely with students, educators, and country leaders to ensure new tools are safe, effective, and trusted.

Requirements

  • Have 10+ years of product management experience with strong leadership, xfn collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Bring experience in education, EdTech, or learning research, or are eager to dive into complex, research-driven problem spaces.
  • Have built and scaled impactful consumer products.
  • Are motivated by OpenAI’s mission and excited to build products that help people learn.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision for education and learning in ChatGPT.
  • Partner with research teams to explore how AI can better advance learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, engineering, product, and go-to-market—to bring education features to life.
  • Partner with xfn growth, GTM, and marketing teams to bring the tools to students, adult learners, and educators.
  • Work with external partners in academia, education, and workforce development to track outcomes & ensure products are safe, effective, and aligned with real-world needs.
  • Use both data and user feedback to validate impact and guide product direction.

  • This role is based in San Francisco, CA.
  • We use a hybrid work model of three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
