NBME is seeking a Product Manager to drive the success of one or more products, leading cross-functional teams and identifying market opportunities and customer needs to develop and deliver products that align with the organization's strategy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and synthesize market trends to inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Skilled in translating quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable recommendations that drive product innovation, customer value, and business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize OpenAI-powered tools and generative AI technologies to streamline workflows, accelerate decision-making, and improve communication.
  • Proven ability to manage product-level profit and loss, including budget planning, revenue forecasting, and expense tracking.
  • Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements across the product lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of launching product(s) or product releases; leading and organizing market research/pilot/testing efforts; coordinating Agile experiences.
  • Strategic and technical Product Management experience, preferably in healthcare, medical education and/or assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Control the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more products in an effort to deliver value to the customer and align with broader NBME strategy.
  • Manage and execute product life cycle/strategy, technical, and marketing aspects of the product(s), which includes: discovery and validation of market problems; bringing the voice of the customer into product strategy; exploration of new market opportunities; definition and sizing of market segments; business plan creation; pricing; product positioning; go-to-market planning; win/loss analysis; distribution strategy; product profitability and sales analysis.
  • Continually monitor financial, reputational, and user-satisfaction 'health' of product(s), reports findings, and develop recommendations to make appropriate strategic and tactical adjustments based on evidence.
  • Lead the development and management of product-level budgets, including forecasting revenue, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity, reduce waste, and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Define market requirements, package features into product plans, and identifies risks/benefits/mitigation strategies.
  • Develops recommendations for product(s) based on data analysis, competitive climate, understanding of NBME strategy, and informed business needs.

Other

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in program/product management required.
  • Bachelor's Degree; required
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certification or similar; preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and secure materials appropriately.
  • Ability to succeed in role with some supervisory guidance.
