Morningstar is looking to solve the problem of providing clients with direct access to Morningstar Data via a suite of API services, and the Product Manager will define and lead the strategy, roadmap, and development of the API Center product to delight clients.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in technical software products, preferably with direct experience managing APIs or integration products.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Deep knowledge of Morningstar data, products, and the markets they serve is preferred.
- Strong technical acumen and familiarity with API design, developer experience (DX), API documentation, and API management tooling.
- Familiarity with Morningstar’s data and software offerings for various personas in the global asset and wealth management industry and the tools they use to manage their workflows.
- Ability to meaningfully contribute to go-to-market efforts
- Desire to drive growth and client success with strong partnerships with other functional teams
Responsibilities
- Own the product development roadmap, prioritization, value proposition, and product development lifecycle for API Center.
- Provide dedicated business requirements for the product’s data, analytics, and workflow needs and prioritize conflicting work.
- Ensure product, operational, and customer service excellence through close coordination with Technology, Design, Client Service, and Operations teams.
- Contribute to sales-enablement and go-to-market planning.
- Work directly with product marketing, sales, and service to meet business and client deliverables within specified delivery dates.
- Demonstrate product capabilities to prospective clients, including functionality and methodology - serving as an expert for our internal stakeholders.
- Track and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements of product success
Other
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science or related field is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
