Ovivo is looking to solve the problem of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination in water through the development and commercialization of effective and safe solutions.

Requirements

  • Specific experience designing full-scale ion exchange and granular activated carbon systems to remove contaminants from water in the industrial or municipal industries.
  • Experience removing PFAS or other organic contaminants preferred.
  • Specific experience troubleshooting and/or operating full-scale ion exchange and granular activated carbon systems
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to complex situations.
  • Professional Engineering Registration preferred (CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of process engineering-related experience in water/wastewater industry in North America.
  • M.S. degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key process-related technical aspects within a multi-disciplinary team for the development and commercialization of effective and safe solutions for the treatment of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
  • Develop and direct laboratory and piloting studies for the research and development of new products.
  • Establish appropriate design methods, sizing, and costing programs (OPEX and CAPEX) for ion exchange and granular activated carbon systems.
  • Check calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications, and instructions prepared by drafters/designers and other engineers.
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings.
  • Review specifications from customers to ensure conformance to proposals and bids.
  • Direct the execution of design project and provide technical support to shop and field start-up services, both on site and from the office.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Desire to work in a fast pace and innovative environment to offer new solutions for PFAS contamination in water.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with 20%-35% domestic travel.
  • Strong sense of ownership and teamwork in everything you do.
  • Excellent communication skills to resolve technical issues with customers.
