1stDibs is looking to improve its Search and Discovery experience to enable users to search, browse, and engage with its platform more effectively.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, with a focus on Search relevance and e-commerce.
- You've worked with Machine Learning engineers to develop, test, and launch ML-powered products that solve customer problems.
- Familiarity with retrieval systems, ranking algorithms, and LLMs is a plus.
- Proficiency in analytical skills, including SQL, to analyze data, identify opportunities, and evaluate feature performance to make informed decisions and trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Define the Search Roadmap: Establish a clear vision and prioritized roadmap for search, balancing impact and innovation.
- Drive Search Relevance: Lead initiatives in query understanding, retrieval methods (vector-based, keyword, and hybrid), and ranking to improve precision and recall.
- Design Modern Search Experiences: Collaborate with design to create intuitive and delightful search and filtering experiences across devices.
- Leverage Image & Text Embeddings: Work closely with ML engineers to develop and apply multimodal embedding models that enhance retrieval and personalization.
- Experiment & Iterate: Partner with engineering, analytics, and design to develop hypotheses, run experiments, and measure outcomes to continuously improve search quality.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Align stakeholders across machine learning, engineering, design, and business teams to deliver impactful, data-driven product solutions.
