Carvana is looking for a Product Manager to build out its core communication platform, which delivers millions of transactional messages annually via email, SMS, push notifications, and chat. The goal is to ensure the right message reaches the right person at the right time through the right channel, ultimately driving business impact and improving key metrics like contacts per sale and conversion to sale.
Requirements
- Outcome-oriented and data-driven decision making, backed by expertise in metrics, analytics, and data tools such as SQL, Looker, Tableau.
- Ability to learn and absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
- Intellectual curiosity to learn and ask questions to find creative ways to answer complex questions with data.
- Experience with split-testing design and interpretation.
- Skilled in generative AI and LLM technologies to quickly iterate on product requirements and low-fi wireframes to support expedited iterations.
- Familiarity with Looker, Sigma, and Tableau (for creating new reports)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with design and engineering to scope and prioritize projects
- Write detailed requirements
- Define experimentation plans with A/B testing ownership
- Analyze data
- Launch communications, including emails, SMS, push notifications, and interactions with Sebastian (our conversational AI agent)
- Help drive the product roadmap and participate in end-to-end product life cycle development based on market research, analytics, and business requirements
- Collaborate with partners to create impactful customer communication strategies and identify optimization opportunities; size and prioritize opportunities

- A bachelor's degree in STEM, Economics/Finance, or Design/UX or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of work experience, ideally in product, product analytics, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills to maintain strong attention to detail while leading large cross-functional efforts.
- Opinions - you should be familiar with a lot of products in consumer web/mobile and have some degree of taste around what you do and don't like.
