Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Product Marketing and Communications Specialist to oversee strategic marketing initiatives and execution for a newly developed ERP/CRM platform based on Microsoft Dynamics 365, designed specifically for Caterpillar Dealers.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Keynote/PowerPoint, Office 365 Suite) and/or direct creation of marketing collateral.
  • Demonstrated success in developing product narratives, executing go-to-market strategies, and promoting the adoption of technology-based products.
  • Superior writing and communication capabilities. Proficient in producing clear, influential copy across technical, narrative, and micro-copy formats.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Solid foundation in marketing analytics (Google Analytics, etc.), A/B testing, and funnel optimization.
  • Knowledge of contemporary digital product marketing.
  • Graphic Design expertise (you must be able to write and design your own PowerPoints and one pager content).
  • B2B experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing go-to-market plans for our ERP/CRM platform, turning tech talk into everyday benefits, and launching campaigns that get Caterpillar dealers excited and on board.
  • Creating content that’s clear and engaging to read or watch—from websites and blogs to emails and presentations.
  • Formulate and administer comprehensive product marketing strategies for the ERP/CRM platform.
  • Produce persuasive, clear, and engaging communications across a spectrum of channels—including websites, blog articles, email campaigns, presentations, and more.
  • Partner daily with product managers and engineers to convert product roadmaps, release notes, and technical features into clear value stories, visuals, and demos for executive and end user audiences.
  • Cooperate with designers, and frequently act in a design capacity, to generate visually compelling marketing materials (slide presentations, web pages, user guides, videos, etc.).
  • Define, monitor, and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing initiatives (including lead generation, engagement, and conversion rates).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or Communications
  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
