The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business is looking to drive the execution of its global strategy at a regional level for its Illumination product line, aiming to improve human experience and well-being through innovative LED components and solutions. The role will focus on understanding regional market dynamics, driving revenue, positioning the business, and supporting customer engagement to grow the Illumination LED business.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant engineering or product marketing experience in semiconductor or related field.
- Excellent analytical skills and conceptual thinking with the ability to synthesize broad swaths of information into concise, actionable intelligence.
- Excellent business and technical communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and efficiently communicate an authoritative understanding of current regional market conditions, future trends, challenges, and innovations as input for our product portfolio roadmap.
- Benchmark the competitive landscape and develop effective product, pricing, and marketing communication strategies to grow our Illumination LED business.
- Participate in optical standards groups within the industry; work with solutions engineers and product managers to create content for white papers, technical reviews, and case studies; present at conferences and events to enhance customer understanding of our products.
- Lead, manage and execute regional launch activities of new product introductions in close cooperation with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Marketing Communications teams and alignment with the central product management team.
- Co-own the opportunity funnel with the Sales team; develop business case(s) and if necessary, trigger appropriate pre-development projects with targeted lead customers.
- Ensure the local execution of our global pricing strategy optimizes market penetration.
- Proactively present and promote the Illumination LED portfolio to help the Sales team understand the positioning, benefits, and target customers.
