SCHEELS is looking to hire a Merchandiser Associate to help create the best experience in the USA for their customers by ensuring merchandise is available, displayed effectively, and supported by excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
- Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of a merchandiser role
- Ability to work independently and with the team
- Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Unload product from freight. Tag, fold, hang and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock
- Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring products to the floor for display
- Assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased product
- Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas. General cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas

Other
- Must be available to work on an every other weekend rotation. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of two weekends a month.
- Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
