General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking to solve the problem of delivering high-quality software products for the defense and scientific arenas, specifically in the area of embedded software and RF and GPS and Navigation system development, implementation and integrations efforts.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a Product Owner role, preferably with embedded software.
- Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices.
- Proficiency in C, C++ and C.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with embedded systems and software development.
- Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities.
- Create and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product.
- Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software.
Other
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
