MISO is seeking a Product Owner II to support the evolution of a suite of applications used by operators to balance energy and ensure grid reliability, as the company transitions from a project-based to a product operating model.
Requirements
- Experience shaping and driving product vision and roadmaps
- Working knowledge of software development concepts and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with user experience best practices and translating business needs into effective solutions
- Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager AND/OR PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog for the product team to maximize user value and outcomes
- Define business value and requirements in partnership with subject matter experts to reduce rework and improve delivery efficiency.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with the product team, our vendor partners, users and other stakeholders.
- Understand business needs and turn them into clear priorities for the team.
- Communicate progress, outcomes and evolving priorities to stakeholders
Other
- 3-6 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, systems engineering or related experience.
- Strong servant leadership skills with the ability to facilitate collaboration, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement.
- Energy industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency)
