Beast Code is seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong technical background in software engineering, DevOps, and developer experience/advocacy to lead initiatives to optimize the tools, processes, and culture that empower internal and external developers to do their best work.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or developer experience roles, with at least 1 year in a lead or management position.
- Prior experience in developer advocacy, technical writing, or community management.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, developer tools, and best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Demonstrated experience in user research and developer journey mapping.
- Experience translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders with empathy and clarity.
- Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and developer portal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate developer experience initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Develop, document, and refine processes, tools, and best practices that support developer productivity and satisfaction.
- Building trust between infrastructure/platform teams and product developers
- Translate developer frustrations into actionable roadmap items.
- Hosting developer forums, office hours, workshops, or internal "DevX days"
- Oversee the implementation of developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards.
- Track, analyze, and report on developer productivity and satisfaction metrics, recommending improvements.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.
- U.S. Citizen and able to comply with Government regulations
- Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
