ModMed is looking to drive the delivery of healthcare regulatory and compliance initiatives, specifically with regards to MIPS/MVP regulations, to ensure the company meets expanding healthcare regulations and improves patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the ONC Health IT Certification Program, CMS interoperability, and Quality Measure regulatory frameworks.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe preferred); experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining product backlogs.
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and vocabularies (FHIR, CDA, HL7, NCPDP, LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm)
- Proven track record in translating regulations into system-level requirements and development artifacts.
- Experience with MIPS Certification submission (preferred)
- Experience working within an ambulatory healthcare setting (preferred)
- Experience working in or with an EHR vendor or healthcare software organization (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze federal MIPS/MVP regulations.
- Author clear, detailed Epics, Features, and User Stories that reflect regulatory requirements and certification goals.
- Collaborate closely with compliance, product managers, engineers, QA, and UX to ensure development aligns with certification criteria.
- Serve as the point of contact for understanding evolving regulatory requirements and mapping those to system behaviors or data models.
- Own the backlog and prioritize features related to regulatory deliverables, ensuring timely execution against compliance deadlines.
- Lead internal and external audits, mock attestations, and testing required for certification.
- Stay current on health IT policy updates, technical specifications, and industry best practices.
Other
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CBAP, CPHIMS, PMI-ACP) a plus.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, with at least 2+ years in healthcare regulatory compliance or EHR product development.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- The ability to work either Eastern or Central time zone is preferred.
