American Airlines is transforming the way they deliver software and solutions for their customers, and the UX organization is championing Design Systems methodology to create and maintain reusable components for more efficient and consistent product design.
Requirements
- Experience with design system tools such as Storybook, Figma, GitHub, or similar
- Familiarity with front end development technologies such as CSS, HTL and JavaScript
- Experience with Agile Product Management tools
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Strong understanding of Data and Analytical concepts
- Data Governance certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional)
- Experience automating data governance processes/workflows using market leading data governance products
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with other Product team members to manage product dependencies and increments of value
- Performs continuous product discovery and offers valuable solutions that align to Product OKRs
- Uses data to define baselines, measure outcomes, share insights, order backlog items, etc.
- Conducts competitive benchmarking, presents new technologies/solutions, identifies unmet/underserved need
- Defines and maintains a healthy backlog, operating consistently in adopting organizational standards and presents the backlog items with squads and external team members
- Collaborates with various internal team members (i.e. UX, Technology, Vendors, Risk, Compliance, Security
- Work with the Data Governance Platform team(s) to automate Capability processes
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 3 years of experience in Product Management/ Delivery
- Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field plus 5 years of experience in Product Management/ Delivery
- Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and convey complex technical information in a simple, clear, and engaging way
- Ability to be flexible in an evolving operating model and able to pivot easily on areas of focus
- Relevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery field
