New Balance is looking to reduce the amount of defective product generated and prevent defective product from escaping to the customer by performing quality inspections on finished products from their manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Background in footwear and a familiarity with quality requirements is a plus.
- Basic computer skills including the ability to work in standard MS Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on finished goods to ensure conformance to standards.
- Capture results of inspections digitally.
- Deliver constructive feedback to key stakeholders around quality results.
- Act as a subject matter expert and partner with other team members or temporary associates on special projects.
- Conduct both physical and digital movements of product throughout the department.
- Provide feedback on improvement opportunities and participate in improvement activities within the department.
Other
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time.
- Self-motivated and capable of completing work without constant supervision.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a safe workplace environment.
- Stay up to date on New Balance’s quality standards and work to ensure that you are aligned with other quality inspectors across the organization.
- Work safely and efficiently to help ensure that the department meets its goals for key metrics.
