Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) needs to ensure that stock merchandise is in top condition by inspecting, documenting, and repairing it. The company also aims to control costs and maintain smooth operations by handling out-of-warranty repairs on campus and finding efficient solutions for warranty work.
Requirements
- Basic AC/DC Electronics knowledge gained through completion of Basic AC/DC circuitry coursework
- MS Office applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc
- Data entry skills per established department requirements
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, documenting, and repairing stock merchandise
- Handling most out-of-warranty repairs on campus
- Finding efficient solutions for warranty work
- Monitor Order parts for stock, floor display and field service department.
- Order parts for factory shortages.
- Coordinate with A/E Customer Service staff in obtaining parts for customers
- Call vendors to request parts required to make merchandise available for sale.
Other
- High school diploma/G.E.D. preferred
- 2 years of customer service experience that has included answering customer questions and concerns on a regular, one-to-one basis
- 6 months of appliance or electronics sales experience, or related experience
- Lift test required: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
- Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
