Archer Lewis is looking for a Product Specialist to support their internal tax and operations teams by acting as a subject matter expert for tax preparation software, assisting with data extraction and management for conversions and reporting, and helping team members with software functionality and data needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Thomson Reuters tax software (UltraTax, GoSystem, etc.)
- Familiarity with Lacerte, CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx
- Strong understanding of tax return structure (e.g., where common forms go, what certain schedules mean)
- Experience extracting and working with structured data from tax or financial systems
- Experience with tax firm software migrations or system implementations
- Understanding of data formats used in tax platforms (e.g., XML, CSV, SQL exports)
- Previous experience training or supporting teams on tax software
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for Thomson Reuters tax products (e.g., UltraTax), as well as Lacerte, ProSeries and CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx
- Assist in software conversions, including data extraction, transformation, and validation
- Help team members understand where specific tax forms or data should be entered within the return
- Respond to internal questions about tax return structure and software functionality
- Gather, clean, and organize data from multiple systems to support conversions and internal reporting
- Document workflows, common form placement questions, and best practices for internal reference
- Partner with IT, operations, and tax teams to streamline processes and improve system usage

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across teams
- Remote (must be based in CST or EST time zone)
