The company is looking to drive sales growth and expand market share for its Industrial Controls, Sensors, and Safety product lines by hiring a Product Specialist I – Smart Components. This role will act as a liaison between customers, the sales team, and Rockwell Automation, requiring a blend of technical expertise, product planning, and sales support.
Requirements
- Ability to grasp complex control and safety concepts and convey them to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of assigned products and applications; train sales and marketing teams to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
- Partner with Rockwell Automation product managers to coordinate new product launches and promotional programs.
- Support account managers and inside sales teams by providing technical guidance, product demonstrations, and customer application support.
- Create, update, and maintain sales tools including brochures, data sheets, presentations, demos, and samples.
- Serve as the product and application expert for assigned lines, working closely with Rockwell technical teams and resolving customer issues as needed.
- Attend annual technical training events, trade shows, and sales conferences to remain current on industry trends and product advancements.
Other
- Collaborate with management to set annual sales targets and develop go-to-market plans for assigned product lines.
- Associate’s degree in Industrial/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (required).
- 1+ years in a technical sales support role preferred; internships or co-op experience in industrial automation encouraged.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards .
- Desire and ability to grow into an advanced product specialist role.
