athenahealth is looking to drive corporate product strategy initiatives and the vision of the Product organization by exploring growth opportunities and evaluating clients' financial trends related to Value-Based Care (VBC).
Requirements
- Strong understanding of database technologies and ability to write code to gather data.
- Considerable SQL experience mandatory; additional programming experience ( e.g. Python, R) mandatory
- Mastery of advanced time-series analysis, cohort identification & comparison, benchmark development, applied statistical methods, behavioral analytics, and data visualization
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of tools, techniques, and processes to gather and report data
- Knowledge of, and ability to use, strategies, techniques, and tools for effective communication of technical ideas to various audiences
- Ability to synthesize complex, high volume and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve business problems
- Ability to back emerging trends and opportunities with thorough data analysis that's well vetted and accepted by diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects to develop product strategy for emerging product offerings , including scorecard metric development for measuring success of VBC initiatives
- Develop recommendations for product opportunities at a macro level to inform leadership decisions , with the expertise in the business to articulate findings to various stakeholders
- Strategically set and communicate prioritization tradeoffs within analytics across the initiative
- Pull user, transaction, and other data from complex systems and format into self-service visuals to keep stakeholders informed of product opportunities
- Drive and execute plan s for successful project completion including defining scope, milestones, and successful outcomes
- build & monitor effective metrics and OKRs
- distill complex datasets into reusable assets with self-service data visualization utilized for decision making & product proof-points
Other
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably including 3+ years of data analytics or data science
- Ability to drive inter-team collaboration in order to achieve business results
- Ability to collaborate across a range of audiences, both internal and external audiences, and across a range of cohorts
- Ability to provide sound rationale for recommendations to gain others’ support and commitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen
