Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Engineer to drive deployment of hardware and software functionality within their perception system, investigate issues to drive delivery on a critical program across several different disciplines.
Requirements
- Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, or machine learning applications
- 2+ years of systems development experience
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C-Sharp, Rust
- Experience developing system architecture for perception systems in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace applications
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
- Experience with design or redesign of integrated systems
Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of critical engineering feedback and design improvements for Prime Air drones and support systems across teams through requirement tracking, design, development and test.
- Own and drive triage of issues that occur in the field
- Partner with quality and design engineering teams to close feedback loops
- Engage with customer teams to understand opportunities for process improvement, and drive changes
- Work with other engineers to find innovative solutions within fixed design space
Other
- Are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- Excellent communication skills are a must to build trust and drive alignment across both design and operations spaces.
- This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
