Requirements
- Thorough understanding and use of the Caterpillar Handbook, EIA, Production Studies and current sales tools
- Strong PC skills and the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology
- Proficient with Microsoft office program
- Ability to use laptop computer with access to all Carter programs specification sheets and product catalogs
- Knowledge of unique strengths and advantages Carter Machinery has in market place
- Understanding of Team Concept as it pertains to revenue opportunities in related departments
- Ability to quickly evaluate facts, and maintain good judgment when making decisions
Responsibilities
- Maximizes market penetration of Carter Machinery service programs and parts lines within assigned territory and from assigned customers
- Service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits, and effectively prospect potential new customers
- Promote a positive customer experience

- Develop objectives, set priorities, and implement ideas in a timely manner
- Approach the sales process creatively and in a professional manner
- Handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
Other
- Minimum of three years sales experience
- Clean driving record and a valid driver's license required
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Frequent travel is required – overnight or out town via car or airplane
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight
