Birkey's is looking for a Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) to build and maintain relationships with current and new customers within their assigned territory. The role involves driving sales of parts, service, and preventative maintenance plans, providing customer support, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Maintain current product manuals, price lists, and other documents.
- Maintain a working knowledge of used equipment to assist with trade-in evaluations.
- Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment, as necessary.
- Perform extensive keystroke tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site training for store staff and customers as needed.
- Perform follow-up activities required for new equipment sales and manufacturer end-user direct sales.
- Quote and sell for the parts and service department and Preventative Maintenance (PM) contracts.
- Address customer concerns.
- Furnish technical support where applicable.
- Collect profiling information to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Assist with field demonstrations and generate new leads for products and services.
Other
- Building relationships with clients.
- Calling on current Birkey’s customers and developing new customers by making sales calls to offices, shops, and job site locations within their assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and by promoting a positive company image.
- Actively promote and sell parts and services, including preventative maintenance specials, to customers.
- Submit timely reports, including call reports and lost sales reports, to the management team.
- Continuously update your knowledge of the company’s products, services, and special programs.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and products.
- Attend company, store, and community functions to benefit the dealership.
- Set and track daily, weekly, and annual sales goals.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all company finance plans.
- Present sales leads for goods and services to the Store Manager and relevant department managers.
- Follow up on all leads to ensure a satisfactory customer experience.
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups with customers who have made large purchases to confirm their complete satisfaction.
- Establish and track daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
- Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services, and support of all staff.
- Resolve customer’s concerns efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Exhibit Birkey’s high level of customer service daily.
- Acknowledge appreciation of clients and customer.
- Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 – 4 years of related experience.
- They should be able to set work priorities, work independently in the absence of supervision, and be able to understand and carry-out oral and written directions.
- They must have the ability to stay motivated and retain focus on providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to get around the assigned territory, the dealership, and grounds for various tasks.
- The employee would normally lift or move 10 lbs, frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
- Ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to drive to a customer site.
- Must meet health assessment requirements.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
- The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time.
