Peterson Trucks needs to promote and sell company parts and service capabilities in an assigned territory by developing new business and maintaining customer relationships.
Requirements
- Must have a good working knowledge of the company product line, the territory it serves and relevant competition.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell parts and company service capabilities; inspect product; prepare and present sales proposal and service estimates; develop and present annual maintenance contracts.
- Ensure that all required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time; manage and update customer equipment lists annually.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of product materials and literature to support promotional efforts.
- Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.
- Generate and develop new business to meet specified business goals.
- Make sales calls on existing and prospective customers in a professional manner.
- Cooperate and communicate with sales, service and parts personnel; understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers.
Other
- This position requires the PSSR, Trucks to be away from the employer’s place of business more than 50% of the time interacting with customers at their locations and/or job sites.
- Must be available for customer calls after hours and during weekends in emergency situations.
- Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
