GAF is looking to hire a Product Technician to manage all aspects of production and related duties in the operations of the Resin facility, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
Requirements
- Monitor the reaction inhibitor level, and shelf life. Document inhibitor replacement.
- Monitor the Glycol level in the disperser reservoir. Notify the Maintenance tech if service is needed.
- Conditioning raw materials in the hot chamber, or paraffin tanks, up to 48 hours in advance, as dictated by the production schedule.
- Identifying, and weighing the proper raw materials, according to the blend instructions.
- Following mixing instructions, which include order, and area of entry, mixing times, mixing temperatures, agitator speeds, and necessary cleaning-flushing.
- Properly label all blend containers, with the provided labels, and properly dispose/recycle all waste as directed.
- Set-up the computer for various blends and control with the "Touch Screen", or mouse.

- This position will be cross-trained to provide coverage in all areas as outlined below.
- This description encompasses temporary, contingent, and FTE workers as well.
- The Product Technician reports to the Production Supervisor of the Liquid Resin Facility.
- Comply with all safety regulations and policies
- Utilize all prescribed PPE (personal protective equipment), at all times in designated areas (such as safety glasses, welding hoods, gloves, cutting goggles, respirators, shoes, vests, etc.)
