Covestro is looking for an intern to provide technical support to material scientists within the Engineering Plastic’s Product Technology team, aiming to deliver material solutions to customers in Automotive, Electronics, and Healthcare by improving material performance and delivering timely solutions.
Requirements
- Focus in one of the following majors: Chemistry, Polymer Science, Plastics, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science majors preferred.
- Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Devise test plans to understand how material formulation influences key physical properties, in line with typical customer expectations in a given application.
- Coordinate experimental work that includes material preparation, injection-molding and materials testing
- Analyze data and prepare a summary that succinctly conveys key conclusions to project stakeholders
Other
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program at the time of the internship, which is May 2026-August 2026
- Completion of freshman year.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above strongly preferred.
- Completion of junior year.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact and establish strong working relationships with diverse individuals.
- Project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative, effective technical solutions.
