STS Metals is seeking a Production Data Analyst Intern to improve data accuracy and efficiency across key production areas by analyzing run-time data from Saws, Grinding, and Forge operations, which will directly support improved production benchmarking and quoting accuracy.

Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed time studies and data collection on Saws, Grinding, and Forge operations.
- Analyze collected data and compare findings to current assumptions and standards.
- Evaluate setup times, run rates, wheel consumption, and blade life by alloy and operation.
- Identify opportunities for improved data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Develop recommendations for enhancing production data capture methods and KPI tracking.
- Prepare reports and visual summaries to communicate key findings and trends.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering program (junior or senior level preferred).
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- This position is classified as a temporary internship, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), with an expected duration of six months.
- Typical days and hours of work will be coordinated with the assigned supervisor to accommodate both school and business schedules.
