STS Metals is seeking a Production Data Analyst Intern to improve data accuracy and efficiency across key production areas such as Saws, Grinding, and Forge operations. The goal is to support improved production benchmarking, quoting accuracy, and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering program (junior or senior level preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed time studies and data collection on Saws, Grinding, and Forge operations.
- Analyze collected data and compare findings to current assumptions and standards.
- Evaluate setup times, run rates, wheel consumption, and blade life by alloy and operation.
- Identify opportunities for improved data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Develop recommendations for enhancing production data capture methods and KPI tracking.
- Prepare reports and visual summaries to communicate key findings and trends.
