Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta) is looking to solve problems related to the development and maintenance of their core services, including back-end services for fleet management, front-end services like WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook/Meta Ads, and infrastructure components driving AI advancements, core services, large-scale MySQL deployments, and networking systems.
Requirements
- UNIX and Linux operating systems fundamentals
- TCP/IP network fundamentals
- Coding in Python and C++
- Software frameworks and APIs
- Internet service architectures such as load balancing
- Configuring and maintain applications using web servers
- Network protocols including at least one of the following: DHCP, SSH, and DNS
Responsibilities
- Own back-end services which handle fleet management, front-end services such as WhatsApp / Instagram / Facebook / Meta Ads, infrastructure components that drive Meta’s advances in AI, core services, the world’s largest MySQL deployments and networking systems.
- Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, own the responsibility to mentor and grow others around to force multiply their impact, and debug the hardest problems on some of the largest and most complex systems in the world.
- Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents together with the engineering team.
Other
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
