Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking a Production Engineering Manager in support of a team of liaison engineers responsible for heavy aircraft modifications. This role involves managing the daily activities of ship-side production engineering teams, ensuring that engineering solutions are effectively implemented and aligned with production schedules.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (either as a lead or a manager).
  • Previous management experience.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.
  • Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping underperforming members.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
