Broadridge is seeking a Professional Software Engineer to enhance its product development team by leading the design, development, configuration, customization, unit testing, and maintenance of software, and to collaborate with various teams to solve sophisticated programming assignments and develop mainframe applications.
Requirements
- 20+ or more years of experience writing and testing code using Cobol, CICS, VSAM and DB2.
- Full knowledge of SDLC development methodologies including SCRUM/Agile
- some experience developing with one more of modern technologies: Java, Perl, Python, etc.
- Experience in AWS services
- Technical abilities to include, but not limited to the following: Elixir, StreamWeaver, In Design, PDF and ACIF experience.
- Exstream Dialog, Cobol and JCL knowledge a plus.
- experience with Confluence and Jira
Responsibilities
- investigate system and programming problems, propose solutions and recommend design improvements for increased efficiency.
- develop mainframe applications using COBOL / CICS /VSAM and DB2.
- analyze product requirements and translate them into detailed system functionality by working with internal organizations and/or clients.
- develop architectural components in support of business requirements and standards for application development.
- build system and program test plans and procedures
- develop test data and performs the unit testing ensuring that the programs perform according to program specifications.
- lead other team members in the coding, testing and debugging of application programs
Other
- This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office where you will go 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely.
- Handling workload to completion in timeframes provided to meet client timelines.
- Leadership experience is a plus
