The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Acquisition Logistics (AL) Directorate needs to implement Power Platform solutions to streamline the acquisition life cycle, accelerate processes, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the end-user customer experience.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Python, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, and Matplotlib data visualization.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various locations using Pandas or equivalent tool.
- Lead development efforts that support advanced data visualizations and analytics in Power Platforms and Python based visualizations to support data-driven decision-making for DTRA AL and required Directorate senior leadership.
- Lead team workshops to explain data mining, data analysis and visualization, data structures, and data manipulation with the goal toward the development and deployment of interactive dashboards.
- Identify technical solutions to resolve inefficiencies and non-compliance with standard DoD acquisition directives/instructions, statues, and processes.
- Provide recommendations to streamline the use of internal SharePoint data and convert to outward end-user-facing platforms.
- Assist the government in assessing acquisition policy and processes with a focus on identifying opportunities to accelerate the implementation of structural changes that streamline acquisition development, pre-award and award activities and processes, reduce burden on directorates, and enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current sources of acquisition-related data to identify stored content that can be pulled into Power Platform solutions or Python based visualizations.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various locations using Pandas or equivalent tool.
- Lead development efforts that support advanced data visualizations and analytics in Power Platforms and Python based visualizations to support data-driven decision-making for DTRA AL and required Directorate senior leadership.

- The contractor shall work closely with the AL Chief, Acquisition Management to understand results obtained during recent study and end-user feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Acquisition Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and DTRA Program Managers, to define and document current metadata structures supporting acquisition workflows.
- Skills to manage complex projects, keep track of, or adjust, existing tasks while identifying new tasks and expectations as projects evolve.
- Ability to perform detailed work with little guidance and interact in a positive manner with other government and industry personnel.
- Ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly in a changing environment and synthesize information and draft summaries and reports.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project).
- A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience.
- Experience working with and briefing senior level DoD personnel; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a time-sensitive environment with a high-level of accountability.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance and be eligible for immediate SCI nomination and indoctrination.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
