Nakupuna Prime is seeking a Program Data Scientist to support the implementation of Power Platform solutions for the Acquisition Logistics (AL) Directorate of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to streamline the acquisition life cycle, accelerate processes, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the overall end-user customer experience.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Python, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, and Matplotlib data visualization.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project).
- Experience with Power Apps solutions.
- Experience with Power Platform solutions.
- Experience with Python based visualizations.
- Experience with data mining, data analysis and visualization, data structures, and data manipulation.
- Experience with SharePoint data
Responsibilities
- Identify technical solutions to resolve inefficiencies and non-compliance with standard DoD acquisition directives/instructions, statues, and processes.
- Analyze current sources of acquisition-related data to identify stored content that can be pulled into Power Platform solutions or Python based visualizations.
- Prepare a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) outlining recommendations designed to expedite the transition to a more efficient and effective acquisition technical platform.
- Provide recommendations to streamline the use of internal SharePoint data and convert to outward end-user-facing platforms.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various locations using Pandas or equivalent tool.
- Lead development efforts that support advanced data visualizations and analytics in Power Platforms and Python based visualizations to support data-driven decision-making for DTRA AL and required Directorate senior leadership.
- Lead team workshops to explain data mining, data analysis and visualization, data structures, and data manipulation with the goal toward the development and deployment of interactive dashboards.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; master’s degree desired.
- A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience.
- Experience working with and briefing senior level DoD personnel; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a time-sensitive environment with a high-level of accountability.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance and be eligible for immediate SCI nomination and indoctrination. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
