The Knowledge Systems Group (KSG) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Program Manager II for Software Platforms to oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of critical software systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Solid understanding of program management methodologies and practices
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Project or Program Management Professional certification is preferred (PgMP, PMP, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of critical software systems
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Manage resources effectively
- Facilitate seamless communication throughout the software development lifecycle
- Plan and manage program activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and efficient use of resources
- Track program progress and performance metrics, report findings to stakeholders and recommend improvements
- Identify potential risks to program success and implement mitigation strategies to address them
Other
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility, of which at least two (2) years must be in program management OR comparable roles.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
