Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is seeking an experienced Program Quality Engineer to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout the proposal and program life cycle, at their factory located in Goleta, CA.
Requirements
- Working experience with Quality Management Systems such as: IS0 9001, AS9100.
- Working experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems, and resources.
- Working experience in Industry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards.
- Infrared industry, semiconductor processing or DoD industry experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g., Tableau, Minitab).
- Experience with factory systems and software (e.g., SAP, Windchill).
Responsibilities
- Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements
- Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT)
- Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation
- Ensure Quality Engineering engagement in program development, design, test requirements and verification, including the transition of design to production
- Guide multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D, Six Sigma, Lean practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resources
- Manage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAI’s)
- Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Maintain positive relationships with program administration, cross-functional program stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations
- Experience leading, assisting, and/or mentoring others in routine settings and difficult situations.
- Experience collaborating with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems.
