Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Program Specialist – Data, AI & Automation to manage the planning, organization, and implementation of complex programs aligned to segment and business unit’s critical imperatives by forging business strategic partnerships that drive customer back engagements and delivery through data, artificial intelligence, and automation technologies.
Requirements
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI), data cataloging platforms, or MDM solutions
- Cloud data warehousing platforms, such as Snowflake, etc.
- Experience developing AI/LLM solutions, including agentic AI, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile DevOps) is a plus.
- Ability to work with onshore, offshore and nearshore technical and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and self-motivation
- Experience in data, AI, analytics, or automation environment, with a focus on program-level coordination.
Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with the business unit’s strategic objectives, enterprise data strategy, and AI/automation roadmap.
- Establish and maintain productive, long-term relationships with business partners, enterprise technical/business teams, and peers, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
- Identify and manage inter-dependencies between initiatives to avoid duplication, optimize resources, and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Use extensive influencing skills to impact decisions, build consensus, and align stakeholders with program objectives.
- Leverage extensive experience in business analysis to identify business needs, recommend solutions, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with program goals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess the feasibility, scalability, and integration of proposed solutions within the enterprise architecture.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in data, AI, analytics, or automation environment, with a focus on program-level coordination.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
- Ability to work 5 days onsite.
