TYLin is seeking a Data Visualization Developer (Power BI) to support our Project Controls group. The successful candidate will design and implement business intelligence solutions that transform complex project and financial datasets into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Power BI (Desktop and Service), DAX, and SQL.
- Alteryx: Workflow automation, data preparation, remediation.
- Excel (Advanced): Macros, Power Query, automated reconciliations, and journal entry processes.
- Snowflake: Integration with Excel/Alteryx pipelines and database management.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Proficiency with Power BI (Desktop and Service), DAX, and SQL.
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in data visualization or BI development.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage scalable data models, ensuring datasets are accurate, validated, and optimized for analysis. Perform ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) using tools such as Power Query, SQL, and Alteryx.
- Translate business and project requirements into intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Deliver insights that support project controls, scheduling, and construction management decisions.
- Validate and reconcile data, implement quality checks, and establish security protocols including access controls and permissions.
- Monitor and maintain BI infrastructure, troubleshoot data pipeline issues, and ensure optimal system performance.
- Stay current on Power BI, DAX, SQL, Snowflake, and Alteryx enhancements. Adopt and implement best practices in BI design and data governance.

- Translate business and project requirements into intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Work closely with project managers, schedulers, engineers, and analysts to understand data needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Train end-users to navigate and interpret dashboards, empowering them to make informed, data-driven decisions. Provide troubleshooting and ongoing technical support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
