Generac is looking for a Project Delivery Manager to lead, plan, and execute commissioning for their large industrial generators, ensuring successful project delivery and providing feedback to engineering regarding technology integration.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of electrical power generation concepts (paralleling, load banks, switchgear, UPS, ATS)
- Ability to read and understand project technical specifications, wiring diagrams, electric schematics, and flowcharts
- Understanding of generator sizing principles and Tier compliance (Uptime Institute)
- Knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in Data Centers, and Critical Infrastructures
- Understanding of commissioning levels (L1-L6) and Integrated Systems Testing in Data Centers and Critical Infrastructures
- Awareness of construction planning and permitting, processes, subcontractors, coordination, inspections, and project closeout
- Knowledge on codes and standards: NEC, NFPA 110, UL 142, UL 6200, IEEE, ISO 8528, AHJ requirements, etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates, status reports, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, operations, Service etc.) and external partners, fostering effective communication to ensure project milestones are met.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and within budget.
- Proactively identify and address risks and issues that could impact project timelines or quality.
- Work with internal departments to provide resolution for onsite quality issues.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or 7+ years of equivalent work experience
- CAPM
- Project Management Certificate, or other formal Project Management education
- 3 years of progressive work experience in engineering, project engineering, project management, product management, or related new product development field
- Frequent and extensive travel to job sites during critical phases like rigging, generator startup, testing, and commissioning
