RTX is looking for a Project Engineer Intern to assist experienced Project Engineers in the execution of development, design, and certification, as well as supporting production and aftermarket for assigned hardware. The intern will help ensure critical program milestones are met and identify team resources needed for component plans through design, development, manufacture, qualification, and entry into revenue service. The role offers an opportunity to learn about strategy, development, design, production, and certification testing of advanced digital control systems.
Requirements
- student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Responsibilities
- Will assist in overseeing and coordination of administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
- May assist the liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.
- Learns design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
- May learn about program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).
- Participates in engineering activities that further success of overall project objectives.
- Coordinate and help organize data, and prepares, maintains and develops recommendations for plans and progress reports to monitor project progress.
- Participates in the preparation and maintenance of project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.

- Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Must be a commutable distance to Windsor Locks, CT to work a hybrid schedule.
