Petersen is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to oversee complex machining/fab/assembly projects for the Aerospace, Defense, and Space industries, ensuring successful project delivery that meets budgetary, timeline, and quality goals, and plays a huge role in the safety of the Country and future of mankind.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees mid- to large-scale complex machining/fab/assembly projects, guides a project team through the entire project cycle —from estimating the project with the customer design for fabrication, shop floor execution, and final delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales and lead the estimate building process for customer projects using Petersen's ERP software
  • Plan and build-out projects from start to finish that will be manufactured in our Ogden facility
  • Manage all phases of multiple mid-sized to large projects at any given time, with technical assistance from the shopfloor and design engineering, including pre-ordering sales support (budget/quotation phase) and contract review of orders.
  • Evaluate planning and technical risk, make decisions and ensure countermeasures are in place to enable the execution of the project milestones on time.
  • Coordinate with team members in their area of expertise (mechanical, chemical, electrical, automation, etc.) to ensure delivery of the project, on time, on budget and to the quality standards expected by our customers.
  • Facilitate a cross-functional team to investigate, root cause, and implement corrective actions for any non-conformances
