HII's Mission Technologies division is looking to train transitioning active-duty US military personnel in project and program management principles, technologies, and core operational functions through the DoD Skillbridge Program.
Requirements
- basic knowledge of software technologies
- managing program operations to ensure production schedules are met
- system resources are utilized efficiently and effectively
- proper relationships are established between customers
- functional understanding of schedule, performance, and risk identification / mitigation on initiatives including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities and other activities
- trained on processes to track cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs
- Intro to program milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules
Responsibilities
- learn project and program management principles, technologies, and core operational functions
- assigned special projects as needed
- describe core functions of program management
- have a basic knowledge of software technologies
- managing program operations to ensure production schedules are met
- system resources are utilized efficiently and effectively
- trained on all phases of programs from inception through completion
Other
- UNPAID internship through the DoD Skillbridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel
- available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service
- intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership
- Skillbridge interns are not authorized to represent HII to DoD or Government customers while participating in the internship program
- Required Travel: 0 - 10%
