Manages the departmental operations. Oversees the implementation of all department operational activities. Provides leadership on the daily operation of the department. Manages departmental projects, programs, and Cores.

Responsibilities
- Manages research, core projects, and training and/or dissemination of programs.
- Leads research projects and manages staff performing all project components.
- Provides technical and managerial expertise associated with the implementation of studies and projects.
- May participate in the development of research grants and contracts.
- Provides oversight for accounting functions and financial oversight of project budgets and all expenditures.
- Provide support to the school’s grants in support of the center work.
- May supervise staff.
