Emerson is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to deliver complex integrated test, measurement, or automation systems to customers, ensuring technical and business success of the solution.
Requirements
- PMP or PMI-ACP certification, or ability to attain one within 6 months of hire
- Experience in managing customer-facing solution delivery with strong communication skills, presentation skills and negotiation skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated technical and executive communication skills
- Previous exposure to National Instruments hardware and software is preferred
- Work experience with Agile or Hybrid customer-facing engineering projects is preferred
- Strong understanding of business concepts such as contract building, terms and conditions is preferred
Responsibilities
- Create project plans that drive successful, measurable project execution
- Act as the single point of contact for the project
- Influence others to ensure successful delivery
- Lead project analysis on resource, schedule & budget planning and risk assessment
- Collaborate with resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing on projects
- Drive process and tool improvement efforts
- Manage and give direction to other project managers and project coordinators
Other
- A minimum of at least 5 years’ experience leading and directing customer-facing engineering projects
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
- US Person (US Citizen or Green Card ) ONLY, ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and work effectively with teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline or equivalent work experience
