Emerson is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to deliver complex integrated test, measurement, or automation systems to customers, ensuring technical and business success of the solution.

Requirements

  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification, or ability to attain one within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in managing customer-facing solution delivery with strong communication skills, presentation skills and negotiation skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated technical and executive communication skills
  • Previous exposure to National Instruments hardware and software is preferred
  • Work experience with Agile or Hybrid customer-facing engineering projects is preferred
  • Strong understanding of business concepts such as contract building, terms and conditions is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create project plans that drive successful, measurable project execution
  • Act as the single point of contact for the project
  • Influence others to ensure successful delivery
  • Lead project analysis on resource, schedule & budget planning and risk assessment
  • Collaborate with resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing on projects
  • Drive process and tool improvement efforts
  • Manage and give direction to other project managers and project coordinators

Other

  • A minimum of at least 5 years’ experience leading and directing customer-facing engineering projects
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
  • US Person (US Citizen or Green Card ) ONLY, ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and work effectively with teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline or equivalent work experience
