Meta Robotics Studio is seeking a Prototype Test Engineer to work closely with the product design team, focusing on unit bring-up, new controls, debugging, and supporting initial unit learnings to ensure functionality and quality for next-generation AI and robotics technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering including experience developing production-quality software and hardware integration systems using Python and Rust
- Experience with 0-1 hardware development and test development
- Experience with optical electro-mechanical systems
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the product design team to understand unit bring-up and new controls
- Debug and support with first unit learnings for prototype builds
- Focus on "signs of life" testing to ensure basic unit functionality
- Adapt and implement new features and tests from firmware and software teams to ensure functionality and quality
- Work embedded with the first unit build, ensuring test understanding and assisting with debugging
- Document and relay information and learnings to the Test Manufacturing Engineer
- Scale testing efforts to support the unit's need for more sophisticated functionality and calibration testing
Other
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field
- Experience with building cross-functional relationships
