The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) is seeking to manage the more than $162 billion of assets of the fully funded Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), the State Investment Fund and other state funds, and is looking for a student intern to join its Funds Alpha Team to assist with the due diligence process on hedge fund and beta one managers.

- Familiarity with hedge fund and beta one investment strategies
- Familiarity with systematic and fundamental equity market-neutral, global macro, credit, event-driven, specialty finance, and co-investment strategies
Responsibilities
- Assist analysts with the due diligence process on hedge fund and beta one managers through quantitative and qualitative methods, resulting in an investment recommendation
- Develop skills in Performance Evaluation – Identifying historical investment skill through the team’s quantitative framework
- Develop skills in Trading Analysis – Through manager transparency, evaluate the investment manager's ability to manage a balanced portfolio of securities
Other
- Ability to work in-person in Madison, WI, for an approximate 10-week period beginning late May/early June 2026
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- Student intern position, expected to be currently enrolled in a degree program
- Approximately 61 percent of SWIB’s investment professionals are Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholders, preferred but not required
