The Public Safety Software Suite Administrator is responsible for technical support, configuration, GIS integration, and user administration for Motorola PremierOne CAD, RMS, and Mobile systems, as well as a suite of other public safety and administrative applications. This role acts as a critical link and liaison between system users, internal IT and GIS departments, third-party vendors, and Motorola support teams. The administrator ensures secure, efficient, and reliable system performance to support RTD’s public safety technology operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with system administration in a public safety environment required.
- Direct experience evaluating and administering Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on public safety workflows, dispatch operations, and system integrations.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managed services or system administration roles supporting multi-vendor environments preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of ACT and SSRS Reporting Services.
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure and incident management practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and enhances systems; tests and supports a variety of specialized public safety computer software, components, and devices.
- Creates and maintains security groups and user roles for a variety of public safety software programs
- Analyze, diagnose, triage, document, and collaborate with numerous RTD departments and third-party vendors to resolve system incidents/problems.
- Assists in analyzing system requirements and planning upgrades and installations.
- Support database backups and maintain detailed documentation related to configuration, administration, workflows, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the collection, structuring and data modeling of comprehensive quantitative and qualitative crime data reports for internal stakeholders to support data-driven decision making, strategic planning, performance management and continuous improvement.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems and /or Criminal Justice with computer system coursework or related field is preferred.
