SPX Technologies is looking for a Purchasing Intern to gain hands-on experience in procurement, supplier management, and supply chain operations within a global manufacturing environment. The intern will support the purchasing team and take ownership of a project aimed at solving a problem, improving a process, or strengthening supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Experience with business systems (e.g., ERP/CRM/CPQ) or analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow-up with suppliers.
- Support analysis of supplier quotes, delivery schedules, and cost trends.
- Help ensure accurate purchasing documentation, including contracts, supplier information, and inventory records.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery timelines, and resolve issues.
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations and reporting.
- Help analyze purchasing data and prepare reports for leadership.
- Monitor metrics related to cost, delivery, and quality performance.
