KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking a PWSA Cloud Engineer to support the development, acquisition, execution, and management of government-owned, contractor-operated cloud environments for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), which has a profound impact on the country's national security.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in cloud computing, including authentication methods and encryption standards
  • Security+ certification is required
  • Knowledge of cloud application frameworks and implementation
  • 2 years' privileged production access on the Amazon Web Services management console supporting business or mission workloads
  • Hybrid and/or multi-cloud experience
  • DoD 8140 IAT certification such as CISSP, CCSP, or CASP, or hands-on cloud experience and education necessary to achieve DoD Regulation 8140 requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supports development, acquisition, execution, and management of the SDA's government-owned, contractor-operated cloud environments for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA)
  • Develops and implements scalable government cloud architectures and cost estimates
  • Serves as a cloud engineer and technician for the PWSA Ground Program (PGP) and supports execution of Ground Segment contracts
  • Works with other engineers, architects, developers, technicians, and external stakeholders to verify and deploy cloud solutions in accordance with PWSA requirements

  • TS clearance required; must be able to obtain/maintain SCI
  • Ability to travel monthly to quarterly depending on operations tempo 10% (4 days quarter)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong analytical abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) desired
