Infosys is seeking a Python and Oracle Developer to provide support on custom IT applications catering to the supply chain area for the client.

Requirements

  • At least 2 Years of experience working in developing Oracle pl/sql and Python applications.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle pl/sql, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, db links, analytical and aggregate functions, hierarchical queries etc.
  • Good hands-on experience in performance tuning concepts using hints, AWR reports, etc.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Python scripting, using pandas data frame etc.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support on custom IT applications catering to supply chain area
  • Developing Oracle pl/sql applications
  • Developing Python applications
  • Working with Oracle pl/sql, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, db links, analytical and aggregate functions, hierarchical queries
  • Performance tuning concepts using hints, AWR reports
  • Python scripting using pandas data frame

Other

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 Years of experience in Information Technology .
  • Good technical knowledge, analytical ability, good communication and previous support experience.
  • Should have good logical, analytical and problem-solving capability.

  • Knowledge on change management process followed in support services is preferred.
  • Should be able to work in a team spread across the globe in an onsite-offshore model
  • Should be able to take proactive ownership of tasks, follow up with incident closures with users or other stakeholders.
  • Should be flexible to work on on-call weekend shifts on a rotational basis within the team
  • Should have good understanding of prioritizing work based on incident / event priority in a support environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
  • The job entails extensive amount of travel.
  • The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
