The Oakleaf Group is seeking a Python Developer to work on developing the next generation of data analytics and AI technologies for the data science team of a large financial services client.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python development experience.
- Full-stack developer with experience with developing production-ready web applications (database, backend, and frontend).
- Proficiency with Python and frameworks like Django, Dask, and / or Flask.
- Proficiency with web API development (e.g. REST).
- Proficiency with JavaScript and js frontend frameworks.
- Experience with Docker / VM / Automation.
- Experience with implementing security controls in web applications.
Responsibilities
- As a full-stack Python web application engineer you will design, architect, code and develop the entire product most often as a web application.
- We are looking for a person with strong full-stack development experience and the ability to take high-level solution architectures and produce world-class data analytics products in rapid-development cycles.
- 5+ years of Python development experience.

Other
- This is a hybrid role, and candidates will be required to work onsite two days per week.
- Consideration will be given to candidates residing in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced, multiple project environment and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Agile / Scrum experience preferred.
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) is a plus.
