ILM builds interactive experiences for Virtual and Augmented Reality and other emerging platforms. Our mission is to tell stories in new ways that leverage real-time graphics on ultra high-end hardware. We combine techniques from film VFX production with techniques from the video game industry to produce real-time experiences of the highest fidelity.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of JIRA or equivalent bug/issue tracking software tools.
- PC, Console (PlayStation, XBOX, etc.) game testing experience.
- Past experience testing mobile games (iOS/Anroid, etc.).
- Experience testing mobile hardware devices, VR, and/or network connectivity.
- Previous experience with Unreal Engine.
Responsibilities
- Perform build verification testing; regression testing; and general testing for quality & performance.
- Work directly with the development teams.
- Assist in the refinement and improvements of test procedures and test plans.
- Provide assistance to Designers and Engineers, regarding game-play and game-balance analysis.
- Identify and report defects and deficiencies to maintain a high quality level with our products.
- Test and verify quality of software and internal tools.
Other
- This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at our San Francisco office and occasionally from home.
- Travel to on-location destinations to ensure integration and functionality.
- 3+ years experience as a QA Analyst / Compatibility Technician / Tester in the game industry or related field
- Ability to follow rigorous quality assurance processes.
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision while still maintaining productivity.
